Virginia Autism Spectrum Services provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to individuals in need of building developmental skills and receiving behavioral support. ABA is the only researched and evidence-based therapy for behavior change, using data-driven skill acquisition to thoroughly analyze all aspects of the child's learning and progress.

Our therapy program includes multiple assessments to create individually developed, measurable goals (ISP). We address client needs based on their personal interests and strengths. All therapy is based on Skinner's Verbal Behavior and Natural Environment Teaching models. We provide therapy at our clinic, the client's home and any community settings in which support is needed.

Some areas of therapy focus include:

  • Foundational learning skills (Pre-K to K milestones)
  • Functional communication
  • Group and peer socialization
  • Transitions to new settings
  • Participating or visit public events
  • Preparation for entering school
  • Age-appropriate independence
  • Replacement of behavior barriers with effective responses

*We coordinate and collaborate with other professionals who provide service for the individual, including pediatricians/primary care physicians, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and other related professionals whose contributions are crucial to the child’s plan and development.
